Lots of small progress this week. My DH decided to go camping this weekend but I “camped out” at home and it was delightful! Here’s what I’ve been working on:

Antipodes Sweater: The construction on this saddle shoulder pullover is very fun and quite different. The back neck yoke is knit flat, then the back stitches are picked up and knit down to the armhole depth. Then the front two sides are picked up and knit at the shoulders while the neckline is shaped with short rows, and then the front is worked down to the same depth as the back. Odd sounding but it works!

Transfer Point Shawl: Small progress on this but progress nonetheless. I’m working on the slip stitch portion of the central navy blue section right now. This is an easy, relaxing project that I’ve been using for waiting or travel if I’m a passenger.

Supernova: I finally (!) have the blue seaweed star block done. I have a few smaller stars to stitch to finish up this month’s pieces (which were Box 2). I’m quite enamored of the fussy-cut seaweed wreath and the lurking sharks.

Apple Harvest: I was in the mood for a fall-themed cross-stitch project so I’ve got Blackbird Designs Apple Harvest started. This is from their Anniversaries of the Heart collection, but I wanted to make it as a standalone small, so that’s what it will become when it’s finished.

And finally, I have dubbed Sunday’s blanket day, and yesterday, I worked on my two active blankets. First up was Sleepy Hollow and I got another 3 blocks made, for a total of 8/132. You can see the color palette starting to emerge now.

And I have resurrected my long languishing Birlinn blanket. This is a DK-weight pattern, but I’m using it for sock yarn oddments. I originally thought I might do this as a rainbow/full-on scrappy blanket but honestly, I have so many sock yarn oddments, I think I will make several of these. I can just use up the odds and ends and group them into color families and probably wind up with a bunch of baby blankets for gifts, so I’ll take that as a win. This weekend’s block was the rose-brown/terracotta one in the lower right corner along with a few I had previously completed.
