It’s been a wild and crazy few weeks here, so I managed to miss last week again entirely. Here’s another 2-fer update!

Antipodes: I’m further along on this as I picked up stitches for sleeve 2 and am working on that right now. I definitely will be extending the length of the body. I have plenty of yarn to do that and it’s very much too short at the current length. I’ll get the second sleeve done and then the neckline and whatever I have left for yardage can go on to the body.

Fiddlesticks Socks: Working on sock one of this pair. I’m using Rocky Mountain Purls which is the BFL sock yarn base from Farmer’s Daughter’s Fibers. This is the colorway “Coneflower” and I’m using a contrast color for toes and heels in a dark red-purple. The colors were very busy in the skein but I probably didn’t need to use a pattern specifically to break up pooling since there really isn’t much, but I like the texture on this one and it would be great for those multicolored skeins with blocks of color that need something to help with the pooling issue.

Supernova: Still working on the month 3 package (month 5 has now arrived), and I’ve gotten the center of the medallion done and started on the stars around the periphery. I’ve also started assembling some of the smaller stars in this color group.

Jane Austen Anniversary Quilt: I got the quilt back from the long-arm’er and I am working on getting the binding put on. One more edge to go! But here’s a sneak peek for you. Molly did a beautiful job highlighting the appliqué and I’m excited to get this one finished!

Midnight Meadow: I’ve also cast on some fall projects including a top-down yoke construction sweater in DK. I’m switching up the vibe quite a bit from the original design, which is knit in a Lopi-like rustic wool, and using a DK fade and some half-skeins for the colorwork and looped-stitch details in hand-dyed merino. I’m really trying to find creative ways to use up oddments in my stash beyond “just” another hat. (Not that there’s anything wrong with making hats, but sometimes I want something a bit more challenging to work on.)

Apple Harvest: Finally, I’ve been trying to put in at least a couple of threads each week on this little fall-themed small x-stitch, with design by Blackbird Designs. It’s been slow progress, but progress nonetheless and I think I might be able to have this one done this month!
