A finish this week and a few steps forward on a couple other things:
Striped Granny Chevron Blanket: I worked on this pretty steadily this week and it paid off with a finish. I did wind up frogging the border and re-crocheting it but it wasn’t too bad. I cobbled this one together with a couple of different patterns I found online + a YouTube video to finish the zigzag edges into straight lines and then I added 3 rounds of double-crochet borders. Yarn is Hue Loco Merino DK with a color palette from the Geode collection which is a beautifully soft color grouping. This is a nice generous lap blanket size and I am planning on sending to the hospice group I donate finished projects to a few times a year.

Jane Austen 250th Anniversary Quilt BOM: I have February’s blocks of the month finished up. Two more sets of appliqué squares to go and then we’ll start on the borders. (I think the BOM ends in August 2026? Or thereabouts? So 6 more months of supplies.) I’m delighted I’ve been able to stay caught up with this one and I think once we get to the pieced/machine sewn borders that will be easier to do month-to-month.) For scale, those round circular motifs are about the size of a US quarter (and are super fiddly!).

Star Hexagons/100-Days Project: Also keeping up with my 100-days project of sewing one hand-pieced hexagonal star block a day. We’re through day 22 of the 100 days. I’m using blue and white/off-white scraps for mine.

Lotte Pants: I am mostly done a pair of pants for myself. I’m waiting on some elastic for the waistband but they are almost done (and then I will get some finished images). I’m using a stretch cotton sateen in the hopes I can wear these spring/summer/fall. The pattern took a fair amount of customizing to get the fit the way I want but once they are done, I do think they’ll be a great wardrobe addition.
I am off on another east-coast trip this week to see my folks, so no update from me next week!
