Year of Projects 2025-2026: Week 35

Here’s what I worked on this week:

Graerup Slipover: I finished up the back on this vest, which actually went more quickly than I thought it would. Next up is the front and since there’s no sleeves for this, it’ll just be the arm opening and neckline ribbing to do.

Granny Chevron Blanket: I’ve finished up the color stripe repeat I was working on this month and I’ve got one more to do, then the neutral gray borders and finishing bits.

The 100 day project – Scrappy Hexistars: The first week is done! I actually have 8 of these finished but I need to press the 8th one. I took some time today and cut background and blue diamonds so I can just sit and sew these together as the week goes along.

RBD 2026 Sampler Quilt: Here’s the block I finished up this week, a variation on a Churn Dash pattern.

I don’t know if it’s the unseasonably warm temps we are having here right now (a good 20 degrees above normal) or just the longer days, but I have a hankering to get some things finished up or at least much closer to finished up. I am going to focus on the crochet blanket and see if I can get the final color stripe repeat done this week, and then keep up with my 100 days project as I go along. It’s looking like another busy week here but hopeful I can make some measureable progress if I just focus on those 2 things.

Have a great week YOP’ers!

  1. Like your vest. I’m going to have to rethink if I’d wear a vest or not. There are so many beautiful patterns out there. Love your hexistars. The Churn Dash pattern is really nice.

  4. Quite a few blogs I follow are concentrating on finishing WIPs, I wish that bug would catch me…I am still ignoring mine.
