I started this shawl in January 2025 and finished it this week (December 13, 2025). Absolutely no reason on earth why it took me this long because I enjoyed the entire process of creating it.

Design is by Inese Sang who has several other lovely shawl patterns I’d like to make. The pattern is well-written with lots of notes about how to work techniques (like the wrapped/smocked stitches in the pink sections) and stitch counts for all the rows. Highly recommend her technique for working the bobbles so they stay in place. That’s almost worth the cost of the pattern just for that technical detail.

Yarn is La Bien Aimee’s Cashmerino which is a delightfully soft merino/cashmere blend. I used the colors Inese used in her sample: Parchment (gray), Rose Quartz (pink) and Damask (purple). This base is (as you might expect with the cashmere component) very soft with the tiniest of halos, and also very warm for its weight.

Overall a wonderful project with lots of beautiful details that I will wear with pretty much everything in my closet!
