Year of Projects 2025-2026: Week 20

Limited things to share this week as I just put my head down and plowed along to finish up Dyad. I’ll have a more detailed FO post on it this week but it is done and blocked!

I am also super close to a finish on The Autumn Garden. Just a few more leaves and the centers on 2 sunflowers to go!

And finally progress on socks – not the striped socks as I only added a couple of stripes to those this week so they look very much the same – but a new cast on, the Tea Leaves socks which I’m knitting from a skein of LOTR themed yarn from Long Dog Yarn (Riders of Rohan colorway). I’ve turned the heel and I’m working on the gusset.

I’ve got this week of work before I’m off for a week for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the US and I cannot wait! We’ve decided to do a staycation this year and I plan to take a hike every morning and craft the rest of the day, which sounds absolutely wonderful to me!

Have a good week YOP’ers!

  1. That does sound like a fantastic staycation. Congrats on getting the second Dyad Sweater done as well as almost done with the beautiful Autumn needlework. Just in time for Thanksgiving.

  2. LOTR themed yarn? I’ll need to look at that. We watch all the movies over the Thanksgiving break 🥰

    1. She did a whole year with color of the month themed on LOTR. I have been hoarding the skeins but they’re just too good not to use! That sounds like a lovely break tradition.

  3. The finished cardigan looks lovely. A combination of morning hikes and afternoon knitting sounds perfect. Hoping this week is stress free so you can start winding down ready for your holiday.
