We’ve been enjoying a few warm sunny days here although we did build the first woodstove fire of the season this weekend which was lovely. Here’s what I worked on this weekend.
A very quick start and finish of the Everyday Brew hat by Clare Devine. I have had this pattern in my library for eons but I had one lone skein of Thirteen Mile Wool bulky in a nice neutral gray in stash which I used for this (I don’t work with bulky weight very often.) It worked up into a squishy warm hat that will go into my neglected donation box. I need to remember to add on more of these quick and easy donation gift finishes especially with the onset of cold weather.

I put quite a bit of time in on the Dyad sample and have finished the body. This one is knit with the longer jacket length and the colorwork collar which I’m going to try to tackle this week. (please excuse the 2 rectangles of reflected sunlight in this picture!)

I took a break from all that black stockinette and cast on the Book Club Cardigan for the Woolberry Fall KAL. I’m using deep deep stash – Blackstone Tweed in the heathery gray Steamers colorway for this one. It’s got an interesting construction- this is the back shoulder shaping.

I received the Jane Austen anniversary quilt block of the month package for October and I’m prepping those 4 blocks for the hand sewing right now.

I have assembled my Leaf Pile table runner with everything except for the final borders (which are the dark fabric) so this should be ready for quilting next week. I think I’m going to try the big stitch method and see if I like that for this one.

Finally, I finished up the asters in my Autumn Garden cross stitch and put a few more leaves on the tree.

Super busy week at work coming up so I’m not sure what I’ll get worked on but Dyad is my priority for the week. Have a good one YOP’ers!
