Here’s what I’ve been working on this week:
Slowly getting the garden put in on The Autumn Garden cross-stitch. I’ve been stitching the mums that finish up the left side of the design. I’m about halfway thru with those and then I’ve got some blackbirds and a dragonfly to add to finish up this side. (This long skinny format is hard to photograph!)

I’m halfway through the Compass Cowl for my husband. I think I might have enough yarn to make a second one to donate or even for a hat. This Rambouillet yarn from The Farmer’s Daughter is lovely to work with.

Finally I’ve been hand sewing scrappy blue and white star hexagons for a Star a Day pattern. I’m using this as my lunch project as I can usually get a star sewn together in a little under an hour. Not sure I will make 365 of these but I’m going to enjoy the process and see how far I get. I’m fussy cutting some of these to highlight the patterns on the fabric and taking great delight in how those look. My favorite so far is the navy and white floral print in the top right corner.

In other things – none of which I took pictures of as they are at a boring stage in their becoming – I’ve also gotten to:
The second Dyad sweater sleeve: it’s half done and I’m hoping to finish it this week!
Cutting out the Portsmouth jumper (a dress and not a sweater) so I’m ready to start assembling that.
Getting ready to start prepping the next appliqué blocks for the Jane Austen block of the month quilt. The fabrics came Friday and I’m going to try to get everything cut this week.
And last but not least I’ve got a couple of other quilt projects waiting in the wings I’m organizing fabrics for. More to come on those!
Have a great week YOP’ers!
